This story is a third-person narrative that tells the journey of Pastor Thomas Owen's missionary work in south-central Africa, especially in the Amasuka tribe. The novel began in the parish of Thomas Owen, the pastor of England, and then moved to central and southern Africa, where there is the Amasuka (fire men) tribe, and most of the novel's content also takes place here. There, he met Hokosa, the wizard leader, and he basically hoped that he would prove through lightning tests that his God is greater than their God.This novel was placed in the British imperialist literature of the 19th century. Like many of his other works, this novel is inspired by Rider Haggard's experiences with South Africa and British colonialism. The character Norma aims to represent the themes of female authority and female behavior. Some scholars call this novel
