Surveying Vol-1, 16/E by Dr. B. C. Punmia, Ashok Kr. Jainand Arun Kr. Jain is a book that attempts to serve as a reference guide to civil engineers who are studying the plane and geodetic surveying methodologies, i.e., measurement of short distances surveying. This work is the first volume and comprises 24 chapters, which describe the topics. All the topics in the book are given an extensive explanation and augmented with the relevant practical applications. The different methods mentioned in the book explain the use of both the older and conventional machinery and also the newer machines with the latest technology. It gives importance to the principles of geometry for explaining the alterations required in the implements that are used in surveying. The readers have been provided with several application-oriented problems so that they can improve their knowledge and skills and apply these when required, especially for examinations. About the Author Dr. B.C. Punmia is an Indian professor of Civil Engineering. He is the former Dean of the M.B.M. Engineering College, Jodhpur. Punmia has co-authored books like Building Construction and Irrigation And Water Power Engineering. He completed his doctorate in 1976and has been teaching for nearly four decades. andnbsp; Ashok Kumar Jain is an Indian author and a renowned name in Design and Field Engineering. He has co-authored books like Limit State Design Of Reinforced Concrete and Soil Mechanics And Foundations. andnbsp; Arun Kumar Jain is an Indian Assistant Professor at the M.B.M. Engineering College, Jodhpur. He has an ME in Civil Engineering and is the co-author of Limit State Design Of Reinforced Concrete and R.C.C. Designs (Reinforced Concrete Structures).
