Yazar Stories of My Life	Ramona R Mitchell

This memoir takes you on an adventure starting with Ramona’s childhood in Berlin during WWII and continuing with her early years in the Palatine region, her years as a war refugee, and her family’s eventual resettlement in Egypt. In Egypt Ramona restores her health, which had suffered because of food deprivation during the war years, and enjoys horseback riding and art studies. She also becomes a champion swimmer. She returns to Germany to study art at Kassel University, and during her university years also discovers the healing power of yoga. Soon after her graduation from Kassel, her family moves to Nairobi, Kenya, and so she begins her art career there, exhibiting her paintings in local galleries. In Kenya she meets her future husband, Alex, and the two resettle in America, where they establish themselves as artists and art instructors and where Ramona continues her yoga studies at the professional level. Ramona’s tales of her many adventures are interspersed with her keen observations and insightful commentary on the many different cultures she lives in and comes to know.
