ROAD STORIES SOUTHWEST is a narration of three of Cat's amazing journeys through Arizona, New Mexico, Southern Colorado, and northwest Baja California. Medicine Man is the story of his quest to study Native American spirituality in the Four Corners region. Wilderness, Chilies & Hot Springs is a log of his adventures while car camping in remote areas of Southern Arizona and New Mexico. Amigos, Ejidos, & Antojitos is a brief insightful exploration of the San Felipe area and the seldom-visited northeastern corner of Baja California. Accompanying these tales are 70 colorful photographs he took en route. Like in his companion book ROAD POEMS U.S.A., Cat’s tips a verbal and visual hat to idyllic landscapes, historical buildings, seedy bars, and sacred places of worship in egalitarian fashion. A photojournalist taking portraits of society, he hopes to preserve some of the local color, texture, flavor and personality that has been eroded by corporate America.
