A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1...I am overly excited for you to meet and read the story of Proof and Scar. Proof and Scar are fictitious characters birthed from my own personal Raw Prayer Requests within my marriage's hidden parts. Proof is one that hides behind her children and career in hopes of her truth remaining concealed. Many see Proof and assume she is the model mentor of goals and achievements. She has the home, a beautiful family, and a promising career. However, she struggles daily with the reality of being a single, married individual. Daily she wakes to the reality of her husband's absence. She battles with thoughts of insecurities and unanswered questions. Proof spends most of her free time in her untouchable war zone, her prayer closet, fighting for her happily ever after. She knows that God will honor his word and save her marriage; therefore, she must remain in this fight. Proof will then be proof that God can and will change any situation. Scar, however, is fed up with Proof and her prayers. Scar is in-love with Proof and his children, but the back-and-forth with Proof has grown old. At the beginning of their marriage, Scar was ready to become the model husband and willing to do whatever was needed to please Proof. However, over time, Proof's numerous choices to abandon their marriage left scars that Scar feels are not worth repairing. Each time Proof chose to neglect their marriage and leave; Scar is forced to deal with severe rejection issues. He would instead choose to remain alone away from the betrayal of Proof and her God-fearing prayer life. I pray that both Proof and Scar's rawness will persuade you to become free of your rawness and rejection feelings from your spouse. My prayer is that you learn from my story how God uses your spouse's actions to grow you for a kingdom purpose.
