Personal Time Off
Violet, a black housemaid in New Orleans, Louisiana would have never thought she could have been a major contribution to integration or the Civil Rights Movement. Her lifetime friend/co-worker, Virginia, would have never thought so either. But it was inevitable when a trip gone wrong after them leaving their job on unapproved "personal time off" led them to a protest that Violet's sister, Henrietta, was taking part in. Being that little activist she is, Henrietta persuaded her sister and Virginia to stay in a family friend's home in Georgia while protesting in the South. It took years to fight for improvement of rights of blacks. Not only did the South unlock a new vision of life for the three women, but it unlocked secrets to Violet and Henrietta's true lineage.
